I saw her rushing toward me, her hair a windblown mess. Obviously late, she trips over her own feet and giggles as she glances around to make sure no one noticed. I smile, pretending to read my magazine. There is something beautiful about a person that can laugh at herself.

That was my short story – fifty words worth of story to be exact. I’ve always struggled with creative writing, so when I saw the new Weekly Writing Challenge this morning, I thought, “hey, even I can write fifty words!” I don’t think I’m horrible at creative writing, but I am very self conscious of everything I write. Maybe sharing such a small amount at a time will help me loosen up and share more often.
Baby steps. When you are ready to go 100 hundred check out Friday Fictioneers. You can fund links on my blog.
I quite enjoyed your entry. I giggled along with it, I too have an issue with my feet having a mind of their own. You did a fine job capturing the moment.
Thank you. I have the same problem with my own feet!
